Watch Jeff Daniels, the Director of the film, on the

People-Powered Planet Podcast!

How did a major US network make such an earth-shaking film?

Jeff brings us the nitty-gritty in his new film about the 1983 hit "The Day After" by interviewing the director and TV execs about the intense controversy extending all the way to the White House.

Nicholas Meyer, Directed "THE DAY AFTER”  He also directed STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN and STAR TREK VI:  THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY-- and wrote STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME.

We talked with Nicholas about how he and ABC President Brandon Stoddard were able, with grit and determination, to navigate the creation of this film through TV execs, aghast sponsors and a presidential attempt at censorship!
